I bought both the McMahon and The History of the WWE Championship DVD yesterday. The McMahon DVD is especially good, since it's totally out of character, and goes through nearly every contreversial thing he's done. I really liked/got sick from what he said about the Katie Vick storyline, where he called it "A high point in comedy." I thought he was way off the line, there. Other than that, it was very cool. |

Yeah, I saw the DVD around the week of it's release. I loved what Big Show said about Bret Hart. HHH made a funny comment about Bob Costas beating up Vince. |

I really liked that story on Vince and Stephanie's No Mercy 2003 match, where everyone was threatening Vince about giving Stephanie a black eye a week before her wedding. "Since we're both clumsy, I thought he would break my ankle, and give me a black eye."

Lol yeah. Oh, how they all called the XFL a "daring dream" instead of a massive failure was nothing short of gold |

What I thought was funny about the XFL conversation, was where they began talking about how the critics were critizising the XFL right when it began, because of Vince McMahon and The Rock on it, representing the WWF. Did they suddenly forget that (if I remember correctly, of course) that The King and Jesse Ventura were actually the Play-by-Play announcers? Wow, WWF guys calling a Football game. That really shows originality.

Yeah, and Joey Styles summed up the XFL perfectly. The only Vince bashing was at the beginning, suprising

In retrspect, XFL did seem like a good idea. As it turned out, it was alright on paper, but when played out, it was horrible. And Vince thinking, if it had support it would still be here today, seems a little stupid, seeing how the FCC is cracking down on anything "Extreme" these days. |

Well, it's hard to compare the two. The McMahon DVD was great, because it gave an inside look at the WWE Chairman himself, Vince McMahon, while The Best of the WWE Championship DVD showed some of the greatest title matches in history. If I had to choose one, I guess it would be McMahon, because it also had some of his matches on it, (Including my favorite Cage Match of all-time, against Austin at St. Valentine's Day Massacre) which was really "Icing on the cake." |

Really, if you follow him "Closely" on the internet, it doesn't really tell you anything about his business ventures. For the most part, it shows you how nice of a guy he can be at times, (including how he rehired William Regal, after he was drugged in his office) and how he's affected the lives of his kids. (In one of the extras, it has Stephanie in tears, saying how much she loves her father) |

Well, Mr. Wallace, I really liked anything from Disc 2. The Ironman match was very well done, as well as the Cage Match between Bret Hart and Owen hart. It also has the infamous "Mind Games" match between Michaels and Mankind, which is also one of my favorites. I can't really decide between them. (Not to mention it also has Angle/Benoit on there) |

Well I finally watched the MNW dvd that's been out for sometime, I was quite interested that Bischoff had the chance to buy WCW but do to certain things that were beyond his control, he did'nt. I still wonder why? If you've seen this, let me know why you thought this. It's a really great dvd, between that and the ECW one, those are my favorites for the time. Just wish they had more Nitro matches. |

I watched the MNW DVD as well since it came with Eric's book (which has yet to reveal any kind of controversy and I'm already up to the point were WCW is gearing to launch Nitro). I knew Eric was planning to buy WCW. Most of the people that I knew all expected Eric to buy the company, and we were all really surprised when we read that the deal had fallen through and Vince bought the company instead. |

I was just wondering what you guys thought of the Raw Homecoming last year. It'll be available here on dvd soon and I've been considering getting it for the Edge and Matt Hardy match alone. Would it be worth it? As for the Invasion Angle... I really don't know what I can add that hasn't already be said. I was disappointed by it and it really should've been better. It was like Vince McMahon put the plug back in so he can slap and punch the two companies in the face while they're still on their deathbeds until he finally got sick of it and desided to pull the plug himself. I am assuming you're talking about WWF/E vs WCW/ECW and not Raw vs. Smackdown. |

Can't say much about it because that's just when ATV stopped airing WWF in Peru due to low ratings. So then... I've barely heard about wrestling, but I still disliked The Rock. The few I knew about wrestling (and by then, I didn't cared much about wrestling anymore, I was into watching skateboard, football and other stuff as well) was that: *WWF changed to WWE. *The Rock defeated Hulk Hogan. I was like how the hell these guys got into a match. *WWE had some WCW wrestlers working at WWE. *Rob Van Dam was getting really popular. *Kane lost his mask. It was shocking for me to see that given my memories about Kane. *Limp Bizkit played live at Wrestlemania 19 for Undertaker's entrance. *Chris Benoit won a Royal Rumble and later won the WHC. Until some dude posted a thread at a forum that I go to which was called "RIP"... and it said that Eddie Guerrero was dead. I was shocked to hear that... and then, I've started reading stuff about WWE to catch up with many, many stuff I've missed for years. So randomly, I was flicking through channels by February (WWE airs with 1 month delayed) and I find myself with the surprise that WWE started to air again in Peru. Edge was the WWE Champion... I was like how the hell he became the WWE Champion? Then, I've read all the shit between him and Matt Hardy and I hated Edge. But then, I saw the Royal Rumble and marked out when Rey won. It was something unbelievable, but it felt really awesome since I'm a latino, lol. As for Edge, he earned my respect again at WM22. Then I saw Cena at RR beating Edge... he seemed quite okay and good. It wasn't until he fought Big Show weeks later to make me doubt about his skills. I had to research about Cena and figured out that his past was much better than his present. |

I remember Eric Bichoff saying somewhere that they basically sold WCW out from under him to Vince even though they knew he was on the verge of buying it. I don't remember where I heard this now though, but it was some interview he did a couple of years ago. I haven't read his book yet, but I want to. I"m planning on popping over to the library tomorrow to see if they have it there. |

I'm almost done with Controversy Creates Ca$h and thus far I am disappointed with the book. Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe WWE's marketing for this book is too good (you know, those promos that Eric does while sitting in front of a blown up image of his book jacket). Whatever the reason, this book is a let down for me. I won't say it isn't interesting, because it is. However, I don't see any controversy and I don't think Eric goes into as many details as he could have. He talks more about the corporate side than the wrestling side. I'm a wrestling fan. I bought the book to read about the wrestling. |

I don't know how many people here watch Food Network, I do. On this week's "Ham on the Street" the former WWE Tag Team known as The Heart Throbs was featured. I didn't think it was a good segment, but they were featured. |

When you have an "I Quit" match, the first person who says "I Quit" loses, right? Now take a look at John Cena vs JBL's match at Judgement Day 2005. The audio gets screwed up at the 20 something minute... but at the first 11 minutes of the Youtube video, you hear this: JBL: Say I quit or your ass is mine! Shouldn't JBL lost the match at that moment? Of course, he lost later... but still... |

Pretty much, it has to be an obvious "I Quit." You can say it beforehand, if it's say, mocking your opponent. The only time it counts, is if the ref is there, and asks the wrestler. I was watching Unforgiven 2002 today, (A tape originally taped by my Uncle, which I taped to DVD) and I realized how much I actually liked what was going on back then. Some of it was crap, but a lot of it was also good. It had some great matches, especially Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle, which I can be put as saying was better than their Royal Rumble 2003 bout. (Except for the finish when Benoit got the ropes) But anyway, from top to bottom, there was some great action going on, even Lesnar vs. Undertaker. I'll never forget seeing that chair shot for the first time, when that Chair nearly bent in half from impact! |
