Cushiest Jobs in Sports

Bullpen catcher
You get to play catch for a living. It doesn't get much easier than that. Of course, like many of these jobs, there are different gradients of ease. But your average bullpen catcher might get to sit and watch the game until the sixth or seventh inning. Easy. Fun. Whereas the Nationals' bullpen catcher might have to start warming guys up in the second or third inning. And then most of the pitches thrown to him bounce three feet short of the plate and hit him in the neck.

Ever notice how the "customer service reps [who] are standing by" are always depicted by beautiful women wearing headsets? The maker of headsethotties.com certainly has, so he started collecting and publishing examples from around the globe. We enjoy that "perceived helpfulness" is the metric for rating each image. Tragically, the website has not been updated since February. Obviously they need your help finding more content. Could Helpful Girls Gone Wild be far away?

There are some funny stories on there but god...the censorship is ridiculous. They go so far as to censor "hell" (when it's used as an expletive).

WTF is that site supposed to be about? It just seemed like a bunch of random links without rhyme or reason.

The "Nostalgic Critic" videos are fun to watch. They are all like 20 minutes long, though, so don't start one if you are on a time-crunch. His "Lord of the Rings vs Lord of the Rings" and his "Charlie and Chocolate Factor vs Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" comparisons are funny.

For anyone that likes cooking shows, I have a few Youtube cooks for you to check out:

Cooking with Dave
This guy is from South Carolina, but I swear he has the heaviest accent I've ever heard. All his videos are fun to watch (except for that one Valentines video).

Freitas-Ex

His profile says he's from San Diego, and he too has a noticeable accent. He cooks a variety of ethnic dishes. Many of them look good, some I would never try.

Hey Cybrus, do you have and specific sites that you use to find good recipes? Nothing specific, but just a lot of different things to try.

Foodnetwork.com has a huge collection of recipes. I usually tweak their recipes to my liking, but I find many of their recipes to be a good starting place. Other than that, I just google search whatever I'm interested in that day and look at the different recipes that pop up. Again, I rarely use any recipe I see as it is written. I almost always tweak them to my liking.

Also, as you can see from above, I search Youtube for recipes. If I find someone I like (like the two above), then I'll go to their collection and start watching their videos. If I see something I like in their collection, I'll usually try it.

Most of the ones I use I change as well. I'm searching for a great Apple Pie recipe but have yet to find one I really like. The crust always seems to be a failure in taste.

Alton Brown does a good job of explaining Apple Pie on Good Eats. I've never tried his recipe (don't really care for Apple Pie), but it's there if you want to watch it:

Or if you just want the recipe, no video: Here

He uses Applejack in his crust. I'm tempted to try it just for that, but like I said, I don't really like Apple Pie enough to make it myself. I rarely even buy it.

Also, Dave has a video (Cooking with Dave above), but he uses store bought crust.

I'm not sure about those Apple Jacks.

Paula Deen has one that sounds pretty good, but I haven't tried it yet.

Them?

Another site I enjoy: The 9513

This site reviews country music. I have you linked to the "single's review" page, but they also review full CDs and other things. Basically, that site hates anything that is played on modern radio and praises all the independent artists that sounds like anything from Hank Williams (the first) era. Well, that's not true. They do give the occasional "thumbs up" to some mainstream songs. But you'll find more hate than love on the site.
