Tune in to USA Network tonight as platinum recording artist Snoop Dogg takes the reins as Raw's special guest host. What might the world-reknowned rapper, producer and actor have in store for Monday Night Raw?

Two dominant Superstars will face off on the next Raw, as John Cena takes on Triple H less than a week before his One-Hour, Anything Goes WWE Iron Man Match against WWE Champion Randy Orton at WWE Bragging Rights.

I'm glad to see the pecking order has not changed. God bless you HHH.

How about the lines:

Triple H: If you are going to sleep your way to the top, make sure she weighs less than you do.

HBK: And you would know.

WE NOW HAVE IRREFUTABLE PROOF THAT HHH IS ONLY ON TOP BECAUSE HE SLEEPS WITH STEPHANIE MCMAHON.

And I liked seeing HBK coming out to his "Sexy Boy" theme song rather than the DX music.

Raging's Random Thoughts:

This is the first DX promo I've seen since I started to watch pro-wrestling again that I actually enjoyed. They were actually funny after doing that silly "now the world sees how white we are" nonsense. Consider the source of that compliment.

Kofi spoke! And he's not bad at it. DX's reaction was actually funny afterwards with regards to the lack of a Jamaican accent. What the hell is creative doing with Kofi and the Jamaican/Ghana gimmick? Is he going to change his logo since he's no longer billed from Jamaica?

Biggest sore spot of the night was a combination of the Divas match and the crap that followed afterwards. Snoop Dogg and Hornswoggle dancing -- if there was ever a reason for a piss break, this would be it. And the worst of it, from a personal fan standpoint, is that Gail Kim was one of Snoop Dogg's hos. She looked stunning but why was she thrown into this crap?

Jillian actually looks pretty good. This is the first good shot that I saw of her, tonight.

Marty Jannetty was very impressive. He moves very well for a man his age. I'd love to see a match between him, Kofi, and Evan Bourne.

Did anyone really expect any of the members of team RAW to be beaten by people who, save for MVP and Chris Masters, looked like the job squad? Poor Chris Masters didn't get to do anything.

Match of the night goes to HHH and John Cena for merely long length and a lot of nearfalls. I had a very hard time getting into this match and was checking Monday Night Football a lot.

Most enjoyable match for me was surprisingly Randy Orton and Ted Dibiase. Hardly anything happened but I was drawn into it. I was stunned that the crowd was chanting Teddy's name loudly. I didn't know he was that over.

I was really hoping team SD would beat the snot out of Shawn Michaels.

Santino dressed as Charlie Brown was flat. Jeez, why didn't they put him in a match?

Man, they're really pushing the crap out of the new game. I'm tempted not to get it now just to spite WWE. And I was actually looking forward to it.

I wonder how many of the heels wish they had Vickie Guerrerro's heat?

I'd argue that it has a lot more to do with the fans wanting to see him hit Orton than them caring for Teddy. You could have put Ted in there with any other heel and it wouldn't have worked. You could have put anybody else in the same match against Orton and that person would have gotten the same reaction. It's a testament to Orton and how over he's gotten himself despite being booked as the world's largest punk ass pussy.

You guys know how much I hate this guest host gimmick, so it'd be foolish for me to complain each week about the next week's guest host. But that 2 NASCAR drivers are going to host next week brings up bad memories of earlier TNA shows. *shudders*

Chris Jericho, Vickie Guerrero and CM Punk would have worked.

I can agree with that, but you've proven my point. Jericho and Vickie are over huge as heels. You could put anyone in Teddy's role and that person would get that kind of reaction from the crowd. It's a testament to how well these names are over as heels, and not that the fans are behind Teddy at this point.

You think maybe the fans could turn on Ted like with Cena?

Ok, what I am saying is that Teddy is bland, generic, and really isn't over at this point in his career and that any reaction he is getting is mostly due to the person he's facing at the time.

Oh. I couldn't figure out if that's what you meant or if you were asking if the fans would have cheered for Teddy if he were in a match against Cena. Thought we were in a never ending loop where you'd name a wrestler and wanted me to guess Teddy's reaction. God, that would have been annoying.

I don't think Teddy will get as over as Cena got when Teddy turns face. He'll probably get mixed reactions since he doesn't seem ready for that kind of push right now, but not to the same noticeable level that Cena gets. But we'll see how it plays out.

I was listening to Wrestling Observer Radio in my music theory class this morning and couldn't help but to agree with both, Meltzer and Alvarez, on the fact that the storyline between Orton and DiBiase right now is being executed beautifully. Both guys' facial expressions in the bout last night were priceless (no pun intended). Can't wait to see how the angle progresses.

I concur. Flair can kiss my furry ass.

Of more importance, the ratings are in:

Wrestleview

Last night's 10/19 WWE Monday Night Raw drew a 3.3 cable rating. This is down from last week's 3.3 rating. For the second week in a row, the first hour drew a higher rating than the second hour. The first hour drew a 3.48, while the second hour drew a 3.17.

That report makes no sense. Raw drew a 3.3 rating and that is somehow down from the 3.3 rating they scored last week. Have they changed the definition of "down" without telling me?

Also, why is this thread dated as "October 9th" instead of "October 19th". :squint:

The way it was reported was terrible but they are correct that it is down from last week. On Oct. 12's RAW, the first hour drew a 3.4 and the second drew a 3.3.

http://www.wrestleview.com/news2009/1255472133.php?style=dark

Average that out and you get 3.35. If you take the average of this week's ratings, you get 3.325. Amazing what an extra decimal place will do. Even more amazing is that they reported this week's RAW with two decimal places and yet reported the averages with only one decimal place. That leaves the question of who the freak is the editor who proofreads these things? Also what is the margin of error for these ratings? Is a .025 drop really that significant?

As for the title of the thread, I assumed it was a typo. Don't you have the power to change it?

No. Ok, yes. But it's funnier to make fun of the typo publicly first. Right? Right? Right?

I don't understand the ratings drop at all. The week prior, the only thing they advertised was those girls whose names I forget. This week, they advertised Cena vs Triple H and Snoop Dogg. Then they advertised HBK vs Jericho all show long (which they didn't actually deliver, but it happening at the end of the show wouldn't have hurt the ratings, I wouldn't think) and Orton vs Ted, which has gotten a lot of good talk. So how does a bland show out rate one of the most stacked Raw's in a long while? Just weird.
