As serious as suicide is, I can't shake the feeling that this story has been written as an attention-grabbing piece. Something just doesn't sit right with me on this. |

I HIGHLY doubt it was that dramatic where he was two seconds from doing it before she called. I mean it could have, but that's really what they all say when they are about to lose it to make it seem more tense. That being said, people really need to fix the titles on these things. First with the one where Mick Foley's dad dies, the title made me believe that Mick Foley actually died. Now my first glance made me thing it sad "Hogan Commits Suicide" since the words "contemplates and commits" are so close.

You're going have to explain to me how "contemplates" and "commits" are similar.

Because when you're reading over things quick, especially when it has the words "dead" and "suicide" in it, you don't really register the difference between two words that start with "co" until a few seconds after. |

![]() Sucks that he thought of suicide, but I'm sure it was mentioned to hype his book. Oh, well... |

I didn't say he didn't think about it, or was even seriously considering it, but you believe he was two seconds away from pulling the trigger just like everybody else apparently is before someone calls or knocks on the door, causing them to start a new life? That's how it always works in Hollywood when you want to sell books or a TV special. It's never "So I bought a gun and was thinking about it, but felt like it was the chicken's way out and decided against it." It's always "Sweat was pouring down my face as I put the gun to my head. My right index finger was on the trigger, waiting for the right moment to pull it, thus ending my being. Suddenly, as if it were an angel coming down from the heavens, my phone rang. Instead of blowing my brains out I decided to answer it. After that I felt like I had a renewed purpose in life." Edited by WWEWhoseLine48, Oct 22 2009, 04:27 PM.

I'm treating this from a skeptical point-of-view. I wrote that I thought it was written as an attention-grabbing piece, which makes sense since Hogan is trying to sell a book. Afterall, controversy sells. Hogan has lied to the public before, regarding his steroid abuse. Spoiler: click to toggle Considering he's lied to the public before, I'm going to wait and see how this particular story develops. If it is legit, then he has my sympathies. |

It's just that whenever I read something and have no legitimate reason to doubt it, then I won't doubt it. You have no legitimate reason to doubt what Hogan said, namely that 1. he had hold of the gun 2. he had a finger on the trigger |

It's easy to pull the trigger when there are no bullets in the gun.... |
