This tournament will follow the same basic rules as our other tournaments, but will be slightly different. First of all, the nomination system will follow that of the recent wrestling tournaments, so there isn't a list already there to edit, as well as a more staisfying list (not like the last tournament list wasn't satisfying, but I can't produce a list of what I think are the top 64 intros for a show). Secondly, owing to the extra effort involved, you will not copy and paste the list above you. Instead, you will submit your nominations and I will add them to the main list posted below. Thirdly, you must provide a Youtube clip in order for your nomination to be added to the list. This is for the simple fact that any given show could have several intros overtime. Having a youtube clip allows us to listen to the exact version you want us to judge and it allows others that may not be familiar with that theme to hear it. You are limited to 4 nominations. You do not have to nominate 4 TV shows, but 4 is the most you can nominate. If everyone has maxed out on their nominations and open spots remain, then we'll open it up for more. Nomination List 1. These are based on shows who themes just get stuck in my head or have forever been imprinted on me like the Oz theme it has now become when ever i hear the HBO static screen I almost always expect to hear the Oz theme. A little under 24 hours without any new nominations. I'm going to give it one more day, then I'm going to re-open and let everyone that has already nominated their 4 have the chance to nominate 2 more openings. It'll be first come, first serve and once the remaining spots are filled, then it'll be over. Anyone whose yet to use up all four of their nominations are free to do so and there's will be first priority. Should we still have spots left unfufilled after re-opening the nominations 2 days later, then I'll just fill the rest of those spots with filler. |

Not counting the ones I've nominated, Oz, Gummi Bears, The Addams Family, X-Files and Curb Your Enthusiasm are probably the best themes on the list and really only one or two of those I'd consider finals worthy. The rest I either don't know (inb4 watch youtube clips moron), are forgettable or just lame. There are a couple of other ones I would've like to have nominated like The A-Team, The CSI's, South Park and a few others that escape my mind at the moment. However I don't really want to replace any of my other super awesome nominations.  Miama Vice FTW! Edit: Oooh, and the old Batman theme. I'm almost tempted to replace Married With Children with it.  Screw it! I will. This...  Batman Theme in place of Married With Children please Overlord.

How the hell didn't the Magnum, P.I. theme song get nominated for this? You guys disappoint me. Also, MY85, the video that you posted isn't the opening of the first season of Fullmetal Alchemist. Nominations ended as of when all the spots were filled. If you wanted a nomination in, you should've been here before nominations were re-opened. New Noise, you should've nominated it if you wanted it in. And while we're talking about snubs, I'm quite suprised Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles didn't get in. Would've thought someone would've nominated it. The biggest snub IMO was Buffy The Vampire Slayer. At least crap like Family Guy didn't get in. I've used a random generator to divide up our nominations, and then split that into 2 divisions. We will vote through one division at a time each round. Then the winner of Division A will face off against the winner of Division B in our finals.
I'll have the first round of Division A posted momentarily. It takes a few moments to insert those videos into a post.

The Xena theme doesn't work in the spoiler tags. It's not embedded. Angel: 1 Thunderbirds: Death Note: Unsolved Mysteries: 1 ER: Scooby Doo: 1 Xena: The Sopranos: 1 Miami Vice: House: 1 Friends: 1 Andy Griffith Show: This one was impossible for me as I think both are great themes. The Andy Griffith theme is iconic and I think everyone can whistle it. But I ultimately chose Friends just because it brings up more warm and fuzzy feelings for me. Mission Impossible: 1 Big Bang Theory: Simpsons: Roseanne: 1 Another impossible one for me. I think the Simpsons is going to ultimately win and is the more iconic theme, but I think the Roseanne theme sounds better. |

Angel: 3 Thunderbirds: 0 Death Note: 1 Unsolved Mysteries: 2 ER: 2 Scooby Doo: 1 Xena: 0 The Sopranos: 3 Miami Vice: 1 House: 2 - I like the House theme after hearing it again, I couldn't remember how it was like before. However it is too damn hard to not back an iconic theme that has still stuck with me even after all these years. Friends: 2 Andy Griffith Show: 1 Mission Impossible: 2 Big Bang Theory: 1 Simpsons: 2 Roseanne: 1 - I couldn't view the Roseanne video due to some copyright restrictions in my country or whatever, but I can sort of remember it being some harmonica tune (I think) that didn't really do anything for me. Plus The Simpson's theme is right up there as one of the best and most memorable themes of all time. |
