- According to Pwinsider.com, Jeff Hardy's drug arrest went before the Grand Jury yesterday in Moore County, North Carolina. The Grand Jury found that there was enough evidence to indict Hardy, and the case will now move to superior court. Hardy's case is expected to be set on the docket within the next week.

- Hardy was originally set for a probable cause hearing on January 27th for his September 2009 drug charges. The hearing would have determined whether there was enough evidence regarding the arrest to go on the Grand Jury. The hearing is not required, and it appears as if prosecutors have opted to move the case along through the Grand Jury.

- Hardy was arrested for the following charges on 9.11.09:

*Felony possession of cocaine.
*Felony drug trafficking of opium
*Felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III drug (two counts).
*Maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution.
*Possession of drug paraphernalia. (misdemeanor)

- As we all know, Jeff Hardy made his return to pro wrestling last night for TNA.

TNA wrestler and former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy will go to trial on March 17th in Moore County, N.C. He is also facing a new charge, "Conspiracy to Traffic Opium." In addition to this new charge, Hardy is also being charged with the following:

Case 1 - Felony drug trafficking, Two felony charges of possession of a Schedule III controlled substance or drug.

Case 2 - Felony possession of cocaine, Felony maintaining a dwelling for redistribution of controlled substances.

Case 3 - Misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Case 4 - (newly added in 2010) - Conspiracy to traffic opium.

Is it wrong that I'm actually hoping Jeff Hardy doesn't get any jail time because I'd rather see him wrestle? If anyone else were caught with and charged with what Hardy has against him, I probably would expect a "guilty" verdict and not blink an eye. :-/

No it's not wrong because anything concerning drugs is usually a victimless crime.

Jeff Hardy goes to trial for his September 2009 drug-related arrest on 3/17. He has a TNA deal waiting for him on the table once that situation clears itself up. It's always possible he'll pop up tomorrow as well.

Prowrestling.net reported this afternoon that Jeff Hardy's trial was pushed back after the defense requested a continuance. That request was granted and the new trial date is 5/10.

PWInsider.com has independently confirmed that report with the Superior Court of Moore County, NC.

After being delayed from this past March, Jeff Hardy's trial is set to begin next Monday 5/10 in Moore County, NC.

Hardy is facing charges of felony possession of cocaine, felony drug trafficking of opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from a September 2009 arrest at his home.

Since TNA is taping Impact this week, Hardy could conceivably still appear on next Monday's Impact broadcast, depending on TNA's creative direction

According to ProWrestling.net, Jeff Hardy did appear in court today. As of now there are not too many details, but it is known that the court case has been continued to June 3rd. The good news for TNA is that Hardy will be able to attend the Sacrifice PPV Sunday.

Moore County, N.C. officials have dropped several charges against Jeff Hardy stemming from his 2009 arrest, according to James Caldwell of PWTorch.com.. The felony drug trafficking charge and two felony charges of possession of schedule three controlled substances.

The charge of felony possession of cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for redistribution of controlled substances have been dropped, as has the misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. However, Hardy is now facing conspiracy to traffic opium, which was added in January 2010. He is scheduled to return to court on July 6.

Charges being dropped is a good thing, yeah?

Satan is a dude.
Those officials prob had 14-year-old daughters that would stop talking to them had the charges not been dropped.

And what kind of example would they be setting for their daughters if they didn't cave to peer pressure? Peer pressure is the driving force of life!

trafficking opium might be worse in the eyes of the law than having drug paraphenalia

Having drug paraphernalia is likely just a misdemeanor charge whereas conspiracy to traffic opium is most likely a felony charge. So, yeah, I'd agree with you.

Jeff Hardy is back in the Superior Court in Moore County, North Carolina today for the umpteenth time to address drug charges stemming from his September 2009 arrest. The trial has been granted numerous continuances with many believing the prosecution does not have much of a case

This has been more of a story than Hardy's return.
