- AngryMarks.com has a report from today's Bubba The Love Sponge show. Hulk Hogan was a guest today, and they discussed the real reason Bubba was sent home, Awesome Kong apparently beat him up for the remarks he made in regards to Haiti. Here is what was said on the show…
Bubba: She was wearing wrestling gear, and she came in on me and sucker punched me right on my left cheeck, and I was like, what's going on... then she came out me again, hit me again in the mouth, and she goes, "This if for Haiti! This is for Haiti!" and I'm lke "What is going on?" Finally I put my left hand out and push her away from me, and she comes at me again and I just cover up, because I cannot fight back on a woman. Not only will I be fired from TNA, which I probably am, but my radio career is gone if I take a woman out!
Hulk Hogan: I tell you what, after what happened, if you had clocked her you'd have got away with it. What nobody knows, and this is the real truth, that there were certain people there... she should get off the property, she should be fired immediately, that's it. It was so violent. You could have actually lost an eye, you could have had your teeth knocked out. But, to give you your creedo, you are the one who said not to fire her.
- Pwinsider.com reports that the story was in fact making the rounds at the TV taping yesterday, but their sources did not see the incident.

If they did fire Kong they would be stupid she is one of the most dominate females in wrestling and she is over. The last thing they need to do now is fire someone who the ImpactZone loves as they are unhappy with things as it right now.
I personally am fucking happy that she beat his ass someone had to shut him up. He is a shock jock nothing more and has no place in wrestling. Maybe next time he will bite his fat tongue and shut his mouth before he speaks so lose lipped about a touchy subject. There are many Americans with family and loved one in Haiti and for him to say something like that was insulting. So I am behind Kong on this just with she would have gotten a few more shot in on that fat piece of shit Howard Stern wanna be.
BTW I hope that Bubba is fired and I hope that on Twitter (because that what Dixie uses to talk to fans) get word was want Kong and support her and we think Bubba should lose his job in TNA not only for his comments but because he is just a Hogan crone getting a check for doing sub-par job.

It's a little late since the spoilers are probably up somewhere and you can tell if she was used or not, but:

Awesome Kong is at the TNA Impact taping in Orlando, Fla. today. She was sent home on Monday following her backstage fight with backstage interview and radio personality Bubba The Love Sponge. She is expected to appear on the show tonight.
Haha Kong wins in my book. I don't know who the Bubba guy is, but fuck him for saying that. That's a terrible thing to say. Good on Kong. I reckon the only reason he didn't hit her back is because she could actually kick his ass.
- Word going around TNA is that one-half of the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions Awesome Kong gave notice to the company on Tuesday night. Kong was involved in the reported altercation with Bubba the Love Sponge earlier this week.
It should be noted that talents give notice to TNA often and most of the time they're talked into staying. No word yet on what the future will hold for Awesome Kong in TNA.

TNA would be absolutely foolish to keep Bubba over Kong. Granted, Kong did go overboard by physically attacking someone over their Twitter comments, but she's a huge asset to the company. But, of course, Bubba is in with Hogan so he's probably safe even though he's completely worthless, completely unneeded, and completely annoying.
Vince would turn her into a mega star. Of course she would be wearing a leopard skin wrap and billed as Kamala's sister...

by Nick Paglino Jan 20, 2010 I spoke to a source in TNA this morning who provided me with a few more details behind the Awesome Kong/Bubba The Love Sponge incident which took place Monday night at the Impact tapings.
According to the source, the fight between the two was legitimate, and I was told that Awesome Kong was in tears for most of the day, and was anxiously awaiting Bubba's arrival to The Impact Zone. She was visibly upset at the tapings, and when Bubba arrived to the building she literally attacked him and began to beat him up. She did sucker punch Bubba, but it didn't end there. She continued to beat up on him and the fight was said to be a complete shoot.
However, according to the source I spoke with, incidents like this can never really be trusted to be entire shoots as Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo have been known for their unofficial motto of "work everyone." Both men like to take actual heat between people and turn it into worked shoots that come off as very real but in the end work both the talent backstage and the internet. After all, Hulk Hogan did call into Bubba's radio show yesterday and blamed Vince Russo for encouraging Kong to attack Bubba.
To put things into perspective, the source I spoke with related the following story to me which took place in WCW. Back in late 1999, early 2000, Buff Bagwell and Diamond Dallas Page were involved in a shoot fight backstage at a TV taping. DDP was awaiting the arrival of Bagwell to the building as he was furious over rumors that Bagwell had been having an affair with DDP's wife Kimberly. When Bagwell arrived to catering at the building that night, DDP attacked him and the two got into a legitimate, ugly, backstage fight. It was revealed, many months later, that in reality the entire incident was a complete work, and it was staged so that when Bagwell and DDP later worked an angle on TV, it could be said there was legitimate heat between the two in the past which would strengthen the feud.
This is NOT to say, however, that the Awesome Kong/Bubba incident is a confirmed work, but I was told that when dealing with Bischoff and Russo you must adhere to the adage of "believe half of what you see and none of what you are told."

Hulk Hogan called into the Bubba The Love Sponge Show yesterday during Bubba’s live satellite broadcast and laughed off the entire incident involving Bubba and Awesome Kong. He also believes Vince Russo encouraged Kong to attack Bubba backstage and advised for retaliation against Russo.
Following the altercation between herself and Bubba The Love and Sponge, we reported that TNA Knockout Awesome Kong asked TNA for her release from the company. ProWrestling.net is now reporting that TNA management denied Kong's request to be released from the company and she is still under contract with TNA. As a result of the release denial, Kong did not appear on the UK tour as advertised, but did agree to work a match for TNA the night after the altercation with Bubba.
It's also being said that the tension between Kong and Bubba has apparently been resolved following a meeting between Hogan, Kong, Bubba and Bischoff. It wouldn't surprise many to see this possibly turn into a TV angle in the future. As we exclusively reported after the incident, several TNA sources claimed that they wouldn't be surprised if the entire thing was provoked by Bischoff and Russo, so that it could be later used as an angle.
PWTorch.com is reporting that TNA announcer Bubba The Love Sponge is said to be one of the least liked people in the TNA locker room right now. The general feeling by most is that once you look past his shock jock radio personality, he often times gives off the impression that he's above everyone else in the company due to his close friendship with Hulk Hogan.
And the fact that he came in and stole JB's job...
Pro wrestler Awesome Kong claims a radio called her in the middle of the night from a blocked number and threatened to "'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing," adding, "You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch!" Kong, whose real name is Kia Stevens, says AT&T refuses to identity the caller, who she believes is Todd Clem, aka Bubba the Love Sponge.
Stevens, who works for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, says she got into a backstage spat with Clem, a Total Nonstop contracted interviewer and radio host known as Bubba the Love Sponge, after Clem disparaged efforts to raise money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Stevens claims Clem called her at her Tampa home from a blocked number at 5 a.m. on Feb. 10. She says the caller said, "'This is Bubba the Love Sponge here at (and at this point the caller named a radio station' and then alluded to the fact that the call was being broadcast on the radio. "The caller then started talking in a stream, threatening to come to the petitioner's house and 'sucker punch' her until she stopped breathing and then said, 'You'll be dead like all those other niggers in Haiti you fat black bitch ... Fuck Haiti!" Stevens claims that when she did not respond, "the male who had identified himself as 'Bubba the Love Sponge' stated 'What d'ya think about that, Monkey Kong?' ... 'What? Those big fat Jimmy Walker lips ain't talking shit now, huh?'"
Stevens says she recognized Clem's voice, having heard his radio show. According to media reports, Clem claimed on his show that Stevens had approached him backstage after a Jan. 18 wrestling match and "sucker-punched" him in the face several times while yelling "This is for Haiti!" Kong reportedly served a two-day suspension for the altercation. Stevens sued Clem and AT&T, demanding that the phone company release records that would identity the caller.
She is represented in Hillsborough County Court by Chris Mancini of Fort Lauderdale.
Bubba should seriously be shot. He sounded so righteous by calling Kong a "bitch" and making crude remarks towards her race, did he not? On a serious note, how does this asshole still have a job with TNA?
