Beginning February 5, 2010 as part of the next HDNet National Television tapings in Philadelphia, Ring of Honor will host an 8-Man Championship Tournament to crown the inaugural champion. "We've been talking about adding a secondary championship for some time," said ROH President Cary Silkin. "Not only will this give the athletes of Ring of Honor another tremendous goal to work towards, it will also give our great partner, HDNet, a championship that is sure to be defended on the television program. We're happy to publicly give thanks to HDNet for giving us the chance to add this title to the television show, and to All Star Championship Belts for bringing the actual belt to life." The ROH World Television Title Tournament will play out over the course of the six episodes of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" that are set to be filmed over the February 5/6 weekend at the Arena in South Philadelphia. The tournament brackets and seeding will be unveiled over the course of the coming days via release at ROHWrestling.com. ROH Vice President Sydney Eick added, "It's an exciting time to be sure; the Television title will bring an added level of competition and intrigue to the show, and we're all looking forward to it." The TV shows have been really lacking as far as story goes. A TV title could help that out a lot.

They seem to really like the guy.

I don't think an ROH World Television Championship reign for Chris Hero would do much for his career. At this point, I think it's time for Chris to win the ROH World Championship or bust.

If Tyler Black hasn't won it by now, what chance does Chris Hero have at this point? Quote: (Wrestlezone) On February 5th in Philadelphia at the Arena, eight men will begin battle to be crowned the inaugural titleholder. The tournament will unfold over February 5th and 6th until a winner is crowned, all as part of the next set of ROH on HDNet National Television tapings. Officials are nearly completed with seeding the entries to create the first round matchups. We’re happy to announce the first four seeds in the bracket: (8) Rhett Titus, (7) El Generico, (6) Eddie Edwards and (5) Delirious. The matches will take place during the next set of TV taping, which will be held on February 5th and 6th. * Kevin Steen vs. Rhett Titus * Colt Cabana vs. Eddie Edwards * Davey Richards vs. Delirious * El Generico vs. Kenny King

For one, they have the Comcast logo on that "thing" when Comcast doesn't even carry HDNet.
