From Wiki : First quarter
New Orleans first drive

Kickoff occurred at 6:28 p.m. EST (23:28 UTC), with New Orleans catching it for a 20 yard return by Courtney Roby, followed by a 8 yard gain by Pierre Thomas. The drive was concluded after a missed 3rd down with a 42 yard punt by Thomas Morstead, with no return due to the catcher being covered by Courtney Roby.
Indianapolis first drive

With the ball on Indianapolis's 27 yard line, the Colts started a drive consisting of an 18 yard pass to Dallas Clark, a 6 yard rush by Joseph Addai, another 6 yard pass to Dallas Clark, a 3 yard run by Pierre Garcon, a 19 yard pass to Austin Collie, another 3 yard run by Addai. A flag was called by referee Scott Green, for a false start by Kyle DeVan, resulting in a 5 yard loss for the Colts. The drive continued, with a 7 yard run by Addai. On the subsequent down, the third, Peyton Manning overthrew his pass to Pierre Garcon. After their failed third down, Matt Stover, the oldest Super Bowl player ever, kicked the ball 38 yards for a field goal, making the score 3–0.[6]
New Orleans second drive

Courtney Roby returned the Colts's 68 yard kickoff for a gain of 26 yards. Approaching the 25 yard line, Roby swooped into a dive and fumbled the ball, however it was recovered by Chris Reis. The drive continued, with a 4 yard pass to Marques Colston after a failed first down, a 16 yard pass to Reggie Bush, a 3 yard run by Bush, which were followed by two balls that were just barely missed by Marques Colston. With seven yards to the first down line, the Saints decided that Thomas Morstead would punt, who successfully executed a 46 yard punt that was downed at Indianapolis's 4 yard line.
Indianapolis second drive

Starting from their position on their 4 yard line, Peyton Manning passed the ball to Donald Brown, who ran for 11 yards. This play was followed by a failed pass to Brown, a 15 yard run by Addai, an incomplete pass by Manning so as not to get sacked, a 12 yard rush by Addai, a 5 yard pass to Reggie Wayne, a 4 yard rush by Brown, a 26 yard run by Addai (his longest of the season and his first 25+ yard rush since Christmas Eve of 2006), a failed pass to Wayne, a 4 yard run by Brown. This 10 play drive culminated in a 19 yard pass to Pierre Garcon for a touchdown, elevating the Colts's score to 9–0. They then successfully executed their extra point (punted by Matt Stover). This put the Colts at a 10–0 lead.
Second quarter

The Saints responded with two field goals, although missed on another score failing to reach the endzone on a fourth and goal on the one yard line.
Third quarter

The Saints recovered an onside kick to retain possession of the ball at the beginning of the half,[7] finishing the unexpected drive with a touchdown to take the lead. Then with 6:15 left, Joseph Addai scored a rushing TD via Peyton Manning to make the score 17–13.
Fourth quarter

The Saints' Tracy Porter intercepted Manning's pass, resulting in a Saints touchdown. Porter's interception return for a touchdown continued the Super Bowl trend that a team scoring on an interception return wins the championship game.

Who Dat! I have to say i am VERY pleased to see them take it. After a hard 1st quarter I though fuck as it seems the Colts might have had all the making to runaway with the game. Many moments I marked out and jumped out my seat or went rushing back to the living room. I was so happy to see Shockey getting a TD one of my favorite players.

I think with this game Brees has etched his name as one of the best passers in the NFL. His accuracy is crazy he was just on it tonight the numbers show that 32/39 for 288 yards and 2 TD's and was the MVP of the game.

What's there to really discuss? The game's over. Congratulations to the Saints, I guess.

I lost 80 bucks because Manning choked under pressure.

Just kidding (about the choking part that is). But that was pretty unexpected for him to get picked off when he was in that situation since he's probably the second best QB in those types of pressure situations (I put Favre first). But hey, I'm sure Saints fans are happy with that one. They played an amazing game, especially with that freakin' onside kick to start the second half.

With this mentality why post at all? I mean why talk or discuss thing's at all once its done and over this what your saying basically.

There is a lot that could be talked about maybe not for you but not every topic is made for you if you have nothing to say move along. I personally could talk about the game and other forums I am at there is a lot of talk about the game. Whatever lol.

@Whosey I was so happy that the Saints one not only because I was pulling for them but also I won my bet lol. I won $50 so that's nice. Also was awesome to mess with my best friends girl who was so sure that Colts were gunna stomp Saints after there showing against Vikings.

This was one of the best Superbowls thanks to the play calling sometimes it worked others it didn't. The game changer was the on-side kick after that Colts never were the same and could not find a rhythm all season the 2nd half has been all Colts they adjust and run away with the games this time thanks to risky play call Colts didn't get off to that start.

I think it will be hard come next season for the Saints to repeat this success .

Yeah, if I had to start over I still would have bet on the Colts. I knew the Saints were hungry but the Colts have Peyton freakin' Manning and all of that Super Bowl experience after winning it a few years ago. But it really seemed like the Saints really turned it up during the second half. In the beginning you could tell they were going to take risks (such as the failed 4th down conversion instead of making the field goal), and they just piled it on. That two-pointer after they took the lead from the Colts was also big even though the Colts didn't score after that.

I mean I am really happy the Saints won, because they clearly deserved to win. They were one of the best teams all year, and they showed why last night.

That 2 point conversion to me was like telling the Colts we will do anything and take any risk to win this game. They showed they had no fear they knew some things would fail but if they kept at it they would get it in the end. I was shocked to see that pick 6 late in the game you don't see Manning do that often.

I think we seen 2 of the best QB's left in the game I am excited to see how Brees will build on this now that he will be among the names like Manning and Brady.

Do you think that Saints will be able to have this kind of success next season? I am not sure as I am not sure they will be able to keep the team together

Colts just suck that's all haha. F the Colts and that fag manning.

Pats all the way. Wait, we lost to :(

I was rooting for the Saints since the third week into the season, and I knew the Colts and Saints would make it. I'm glad to see it. The game was great for both teams I think. It's the super bowl, you don't want a blow out, it's no fun. Close for most of the game was fun. Seeing some ballsy plays was fantastic. Overall I was extremely pleased with the entire game even when my team was losing.

Only a handful of good commercials though :(

Anyway, did anybody hear that this Super Bowl was the most watched TV show of all-time? The official total was 106.5 million people watching, which beat MASH's finale by a million and a half. That's great and all, but I'm really surprised this one even beat Super Bowl XLII in the process.

I mean you're talking about the Giants and the Patriots, teams in two of the largest TV markets, with the whole hype surrounding the Pats going 19-0. This was a great Super Bowl, don't get me wrong, but it's pretty wild that this one could have more people watching it than even last year's when the Steelers and Cardinals couldn't match the ratings of the year before.

EDIT: My fault, Cardinals and Steelers actually beat Pats vs. Giants by a million. But we're talking about 10 million more people between XLII and XLIV which is pretty crazy.

They story for this one was better, They really played the who NO and Katrina thing to add this underdog spin on it. Its was the underdog Brees Vs who most say best in the NFL Manning. This game almost felt bigger then just a superbowl they done great marketing to make sure we had that feeling. I am shocked but not as much as some are.

With that said I think this years crop of commercials were bland and didn't add much.

Do you feel the halftime show was too long?
I personally don't and loved seeing The Who and over all I enjoyed it and 30 minutes was not too long in my opinion. I am not a player and I do feel for guys like Freeney as he was never the same after a long halftime.

Well I've always said on here that I was a big fan of The Who so I liked it. It wasn't a great performance by them, and I think it was the first time I've seen a performance of them where it looked like they've aged, but at least they got their hits in. They are one of the best live bands ever, and it's great to see them get some exposure. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands too so that was great. I think as long as they're good and can represent themselves well, I don't mind it being a bit long.

Also, I liked some of the commercials although many of them were just above average and not spectacular. I just think some try too hard to have the next "big hit" (such as Go Daddy who isn't the same without Candice (although I do like Danica...)), while forgetting to plug their product.

My personal favorite was the Coke one with The Simpsons. It wasn't too much of a "HA HA!"-type one (see what I did there?), but it was a feel-good one that did its job well. In fact, I'm drinking a Coke right now, which I rarely do!
